Who We Are

Scott Chandler
As a native Texan, I grew up valuing family and football. Football took me to the University of Iowa where I played quarterback for the Hawkeyes for a 10-3 record and a Top-10 ranked season. After school, I was with the Buffalo Bills for a short time before hanging up
the cleats permanently.

My wife, Christe, also grew up in Texas and understood the importance of getting back here as soon as possible. I took a job as the acquisitions manager for Colonial Southern Group, a real estate development company. I learned the business by beginning with site selection, securing entitlements, completing development and managing assets. At the end of 2007,the company shifted toward the disposition of its assets; and I assisted in the marketing and sale of five self-storage properties.

After the Colonial sale I was retained as a consultant by Cooper & Stebbins, developer of the 860,000 square foot Southlake Town Square mixed-use development. I reviewed potential opportunities for future residential development and developed a Residential Strategy to provide a guide for the company to follow when the market allows.

All of these experiences heightened my senses of competitiveness and the intricate multiple tasks of real estate acquisitions and development.
I grew up in Southlake, TX where I was lucky enough to play football for the storied program at Carroll High School under legendary Coach Todd Dodge. From there, I followed my brother to the University of Iowa and we were able to be teammates for the first time in our lives (I’m obviously 5 years younger)! I was able to enjoy a great 4 year career at Iowa that included a Big 10 Championship and two Top 10 finishes. I was able to continue my football career as a Tight End for 9 years in the NFL after being drafted in the 4th round of 2007 draft by the San Diego Chargers. I also played for the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, and New England Patriots. Through my years playing football I was taught the value of hard work and determination. From fighting back after being cut to relentlessly rehabbing injuries, I learned how to succeed through challenges and hardship. I continue to apply these values in my business ventures.

During my time at Iowa I met the love of my life, my beautiful wife Alissa. An Iowa girl with a heart of gold, she has been Superwoman for me and our girls through all my success and failure during my football career. We have 3 wonderful girls and a son on the way. We now reside in North Liberty, IA.

Having invested in many real estate deals during my playing days, I’ve seen the value of being able to use real estate to diversify my portfolio. I was able to find many good deals and really see the benefit of earning higher yields than the stock market or other investments could give me. I’m drawn to the competitive nature of the industry, and know what it takes to be successful. I want to be able to help you see the same things and have your money work for you in the exciting world of real estate investing and development!
